At this year the Internatioal Contemporary Art Fair ART VILNIUS 2016 is entering its 7th edition that will take place from 9 to 12 June, 2016.

ART VILNIUS 2016 presented 60 galleries from 12 countries of the world, including ART VILNIUS 2016 guest country - Poland with 10 top national art galleries and institutions- the Museum of Contemporary Art in Krakow MOCAK, on its programme.The MOCAK owns the works of such famous artists as Marina Abramovich, Sarah Lucas, Ai Weiwei, Mirosław Bałka, Paweł Althamer and Lithuanian artist Artūras Raila. 

The Lewben Art Foundation is partnering with ArtVilnius for the third year in a row, and at ART VILNIUS 2016 presented its project “Shaping Ideas: Sculptures” - works by nine contemporary artists: Hans Op de Beeck (b. 1969, Belgium), Jake & Dinos Chapman (b. 1966 and 1962, Great Britain), Michael Dean (b. 1977, Great Britain), Marcel Dzama (b. 1974, Canada/USA), Kendell Geers (b. 1968, South Africa/Belgium), Petrit Halilaj (b. 1986, Kosovo/Germany), Thomas Houseago (b. 1972, Great Britain/USA), Bertrand Lavier (b. 1949, France), and Mandla Reuter (b. 1974, South Africa/Germany).

Exhibition of sculptures, installations and performances TAKAS (PATH) traditionally invited the visitors of the art fair to enjoy the works by 25 artists from Lithuania, Latvia (Glebs Pantelejevs), Ukraine, the Netherlands, Poland, Germany, and Denmark.

At ART VILNIUS 2016 Maksla XO gallery presented recent works by two established Latvian contemporary artists: multi-media artist Kristaps Gelzis and sculptor Glebs Pantelejevs, and French contemporary painter Michel Castaignet.
