At this year the Internatioal Contemporary Art Fair ART VILNIUS’15 is entering its 6th edition that will take place from 25 to 28 June, 2015.
55 contemporary and modern art galleries from Belarus, Denmark, France, Georgia, Germany, Italy, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, Ukraine, United Kingdom, will fill the 15000 m2 of the Lithuanian Exhibition and Congress Centre Litexpo in Vilnius for a 4 days celebration of art in all its forms of expression.

The international platform for large-size sculptures and installations Takas (Path) will display new works by artists from Lithuania, Latvia, Ukraine and Russia: Aigars Bikše, Andrius Erminas, Andrius Pukis, Anton Logov, Danas Aleksa, Daria Krotova, Iveta Laure, Jonas Aničas, Jurga Barilaitė, Kęstutis Svirnelis, Matas Janušonis, Nikita Shalennyi, Rafal Piesliak, Raimonda Sereikaitė, Saulius Vaitiekūnas, Tauras Kensminas and Ugis Traumanis.

A novelty of ArtVilnius’15 is a guest country which is Ukraine at this year’s event. ArtVilnius’15 will present works of contemporary artists of the strongest art galleries from Kiev – Tsekh, Karas, Ya gallery, Bottega, Art’14, RA and Dnepropetrovsk gallery Artsvit.

Another novelty for this year’s edition is a collaboration with VIDEONALE, international contemporary video art festival established in 1985 (Germany, Bonn). Curators Tasja Langenbach and Jennifer Gassmann, have selected the best video works from its 15th edition, under a common theme The Call of the Wild. Musician and visual artist Vladimir Tarasov is also coming back to ArtVilnius with a video installation called The Sixties.

The exclusive partner of the Art Fair, the Lewben Group international venture, will present for the first time a collection of contemporary international artists from the Lewben Art Foundation collection. The stand curated by Francesca Ferrarini (Italy) will display artworks by Charles Avery, Markus Schinwald, Tala Madani, Los Carpinteros, Tony Cragg, Thomas Houseago, Bertrand Lavier, Jonathas de Andrade and Pedro Reyes. Their works are held in major museum collections, such as MoMA and Tate, and exhibited at the most important biennales and art events such as Documenta. www.artvilnius.com
